I loved the diversity in culture in Japan. Tokyo was amazing with its bright city lights along side calm temples.

So I have made two quilts using the same block - soothing and bright. Both quilts have interesting pieced borders.

The scrappy muted quilt was made with woven fabrics that I purchased in Tokyo, the bright quilt had a constant background and navy for harmony.
