STAR FLOWER

When I looking for inspiration for a new project one Christmas I came across this lovely English paper pieced star unit. I would not normally choose hand piecing but I loved the block & so I started to play.  As this was originally intended for my own use it often got put to one side. But I kept coming back to it, gradually building up the design. I photograph my work quite often in different stages. It was when I looked at the centre of the quilt I discovered another design jumping out at me. I decided to enlarge this central design & bond it onto a background to produce the cushion. This was completed in one evening! I think it would be good to reproduce the  main centre of the wallhanging using the bonded method instead of the English paper pieced method - much quicker!!! Cushion instructions included. Log cabin blocks surround the centre with a vine & flowers scattered around.
