SHELL'S STARS

This quilt was designed to showcase fabrics from one of my favourite artists - Shell Rummel. Shell is a watercolour artist who is strongly influenced by the coast. Her paintings are the basis for her stunning textile designs.  Her fabrics are produced by Free Spirit Fabrics. I have used fabrics from several of Shell's fabric ranges, as the mix well together.

In this design, I chose darker coloured fabrics to create a diagonal X as a focal point. I used one fabric for the background. 

I have also made a plum version with a solid pale pink background and lastly I reduced the size of the block to make a cot quilt which is included in the pattern.
